Although reform mathematics education is the overarching theme of my research interests, the whole of the body of my planned research is rather diverse. I have a great deal of practical experience in action research from writing curriculum and practicing professional development. However, through my doctoral work, I have found many other areas in which I am interested in doing further research in the hope of making an impact on the way we teach mathematics in the U.S. Some of the areas include:
Feminist Relational Mathematics Pedagogy
Metacognitive Journaling and Writing-to-Learn in Mathematics
Problem-Based Learning in Secondary Mathematics Education
Social Justice and Gender Equity in Mathematics Education
Technology in the Classroom
Discourse in Mathematics Education
